Fortnite Devil May Cry – Since its initial release, Fortnite has collaborated with numerous renowned pop culture franchises, providing players with the opportunity to embody characters from comics, movies, or other games. Some of these collaborations go beyond cosmetic items, with many introducing exciting new game modes.
Now, after collaborating with the Family Guy animated series and the Metal Gear Solid series, alongside introducing a LEGO-themed sandbox mode, Epic Games’ creation is gearing up for another collaboration. Not just one, but the game is rumored to collaborate with two distinct franchises from the film and gaming industries.
Based on leaked information from Shpeshal Nick on the XboxEra podcast, Fortnite is claimed to be collaborating with Devil May Cry and Avatar. The rumor is supported by the appearance of a character resembling Dante on a weapon skin that appeared on the loading screen. The leak also mentions that a Jake Sully skin will be part of the Avatar collaboration.
While not an official confirmation, it’s worth noting that Nick previously leaked Fortnite collaborations with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and DOOM long before they were officially announced. This suggests that the rumor comes from a reliable source and is likely to turn out true.
Epic itself has a good relationship with Capcom, making a collaboration with Devil May Cry highly likely. Some of their iconic franchises such as Resident Evil and Street Fighter have already made their way into the battle royale game, featuring characters like Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li.
As for the collaboration with Avatar, Epic seems to have to persuade Ubisoft, considering the French developer currently holds the copyright for the Avatar game adaptation. The success of Avatar 2 and the high anticipation for its third film appear to be reasons why Epic is interested in incorporating it into the game.
