In the world of technology, AMD consistently manages to surprise us with various innovations. One of the recent headlines that has captured attention is the graphics capabilities of the integrated AMD Ryzen 7 8700G, which is said to rival the performance of the discrete graphics card competitor, NVIDIA GTX 1650. Is this indeed the case?
If you’ve been following technological advancements, you’re likely aware that NVIDIA and AMD are two giants constantly competing in the graphics world. Both strive to provide the best for users.
According to information from Wccftech, this time AMD is making waves with the integrated graphics performance of its Radeon 780M embedded in the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor. In the leaked benchmark, AMD’s Radeon 780M achieved a Vulkan score of 35,427 and an OpenCL score of 29,244.
These scores are very close to those achieved by the GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, which has a Vulkan score of 31,557 and an OpenCL score of 35,036 on Geekbench. This is certainly good news for AMD and its loyal users, considering that the Radeon 780M is integrated graphics and not a discrete graphics card.
Additionally, the AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor used in this benchmark is a yet-to-be-released AMD desktop APU with the AM5 socket. This APU features 8 cores and 16 threads with a boost speed of up to 5.1GHz.
It’s important to note that this benchmark comes from leaks and has not been confirmed by AMD. Therefore, it’s advisable to wait for official announcements from AMD or tech reviewers before getting too hopeful. Additionally, it’s crucial to remember that actual performance may vary depending on system usage and configurations.
However, if this news is true, it signifies that AMD continues to strive for improvements in its integrated graphics performance. This would mean users don’t necessarily need to invest in an additional graphics card to achieve satisfactory performance. Certainly, this is good news for those seeking a cost-effective solution while still desiring good performance.
Once again, we need to await official confirmation from AMD. Nevertheless, there’s no harm in being optimistic, right? Let’s stay tuned for further updates from AMD, and hopefully, this turns out to be positive news for all of us.
